Kuih Makmur Inti Jem Nenas

Assalammualaikum w.b.t. and hello!

Syawal will be here in just few days. 2 days to be exact. All of us in the mood of celebrating 1st of Syawal. Some might wait to spend up for cheaper things at the last minute..for cookies, baju kurung, lemang, ketupat, shawls..the list goes on..

Some who is awesome (sengaja..:D) shall try my family's recipe, Kuih Makmur. Believe me, it is easier than you think and it taste simply good.

Recipe: Kuih Makmur with Pineapple filling

This recipe is from my Opah sedara and she mentioned that no precise measurement required. Which makes things easier!

Ingredients
: Dough
3/4 packet of Wheat flour
1 tin of Ghee

:Pineapple filling
A pineapple (grated)
Spoonful of sugar, proportionate to amount of pineapple.

:Finishing
Caster sugar (grounded),  for coating





Methods 
  

1.  Prepare the filling first, so it has time to cool down. You don't want to burn your finger. Just put all the grated pineapple and sugar. Too much of sugar will get it too hard and tedious to work with. Let it reduced.
2. For the dough, put in little by little ghee onto the flour and yes, use your hand please. You have to feel it to ensure it soft enough and easy to mold.
3. The fun time! Mold the dough into balls and put a pinch of filling at the center and it ready to bake :)
4. Preheat the oven for 5 minutes first and bake it for 20 minutes at 180 degrees. Tadaa..
5. Powdered the cookies with grounded sugar and it's ready to be served.

I'm sure we have seen the best of life so far as muslims, Malaysians..family and women. From my trip of balik kampung, I was imagining how was life there before I was born. What will I be if I was born earlier and having hard times seeking for independence. Taking my Opah, Nenek for examples. They don't even have electricity! Put aside laptops and cellphones. I'm sure I won't last for a day.

Note to self, appreciate what we have and think for others who hardly posses anything.

Yeay! It's Day 3.. My favourite childhood book.

Well, we always reminiscing our lives that we had,either the good one or bad one. Always. I keep reminding myself not to feel sorry for what had happened. (Why do I sound so serious? )

Ok..what's the topic again? My favourite childhood book :D   hehe..I was reading the book again and tons of memories came back into my mind and made me crack a smile.

The Sims Social // Socialites in Town

Haven't you heard about 'The Sim Social'? Shame on you! haha..no...kidding.. I just started playing it today! Booyah!.. OMG! and worse..I'm addicted..

It's like..patiently staring at computer screen and keep clicking..click click...hold..click...remind me of doing a complete working drawing for submission tomorrow morning..

I was introduced to the sims, quite some time ago, by Farhah. No, I'm not blaming you..hehe.. It's been one of my guilty pleasure since..From the sims, the sims 2 and the sims 3..all I've played! Now, its Facebook era...grrrr....and I'm obsessed! Here are some screenshots...

Okay,since I just started, to all...here, some tips ...

• Be extra careful with what you click..at the beginning, click the customize first. Customize everything till you feel totally satisfied!You know..like 'aww...my sim looks so cute'..hehe...Cause once you clicked play, you need to pay to customize. Believe it or not, changing hairstyle will cost you 1000 simoleons! yikes! 
• Don't sell anything you have. Ever. Even you hate it. It's useless. Most of the items sold for 90% less. 450 price item sold for just 45 simoleons! Just put them in store.
• Let the energy bar replenish itself. Don't have to buy or ask friend, unless its urgent. While waiting for the energy to fill up, just do anything else like buying things for your house, change the layout or write a blog...see! I do make sense..
• Get extra simoleons by keeping your sims 'inspired'. Your sims will be in inspired mode if its need is full. Easy peasy! Let the simoleons come to you...wuu...(simoleons is the sims currency, btw)
• Help your friends.. and soon they'll help you back. Ask your friend to help in sending items quest, building new room, building furniture and be sure to help them back or drop them a gift.

Selepas Ramadan

Ramadan, the month full of blessing, is going to end in just few days..
I keep asking what have I done for the whole month?
Was my doing worth? Was the time and chance given been use wisely...  
I keep thinking and thinking..Muhasabah..and regrets, still I'm thankful..

Will I be better muslim after leaving Ramadan?

Would I be as grateful as in this month? 

Can I behave wisely until next Ramadan?

Will I appreciate all the blessing bestow?

I shouldn't ask too many questions. Semua itu kerja Allah s.w.t. right..
Ramadan really changed us all in lot of way we could think of. Allah s.w.t knows the best. Allah s.w.t won't create Ramadan for nothing..the question is, will we meet Ramadan again? What if this is our last Ramadan? :(

I know we shall celebrate Syawal, but I miss Ramadan already.

• Its a dead starfish actually :( Found it washed up on the shore..poor guy..
• I never seen a starfish before, neither dead or alive.
• Still, how lucky I am to find one right? I was so excited..see that smile!
• Now I can wear it as a hairclip like the mermaids do.. hoho..
• But please..If you see one that still alive, please throw them back into the sea! 

Luckily it doesn't look or smell or grin like Patrick Star..

Glee Project // Calling all gleeks!

My night won't be the same again from today on.. Its here, the Glee Project! Last night was a blast! Out of 40,000 applicants, only 12 are selected..

  The 12 contenders..guess which my fave is?

Maybe you'll be ''ugh..just another talent show..who cares..'' Well I do. I am a Glee fan and this Glee Project somehow an amazing addition to the series.

We can see what is behind the scene actually, who's the producer, choreographer, vocal arranger..Plus each of the contenders have their own story and they are so unique..

The winner will be feature in 7 episodes of Glee, season 3.. and acting with other Glee casts okay! wohoo! Okay.. Let the pictures tell all the story..

MasterChef // Spot-on!

Phew..what a start! After the heat for tonight MasterChef US Premier Gala show, I just can't wait for next week episode. Truth be told, I think chef Gordon Ramsay is quite...I don't know the right word for it... but I love the way he treated all the contestants with respect and his honesty on commenting the contestants' signature dishes.

I was impressed with the dishes prepared by these amateur and home cook. Oh, there is an architect..she want to pursue her dreams in cooking as she did not satisfy with her current job..ohh..architect!

I wish I was one of the contestants, and amaze them with Malay Cuisine. Maybe ketupat, rendang tok, lemang...wait..nampak sangat nak raya ni.. hehe..

Hi! Happy fasting..its 13th day of Ramadan..
Yeay! So, I picked some random questions for this Day 1 challenge. Malas sudah. : D but I don't really know how to describe myself to begin with. Hope these questions will help. It's fun to try..made me feels like a celebrities or actor or someone..hehe..

1. How did you choose your nickname?
Its from children game called 'Bahasa m' some might use 'Bahasa f' and chimidama means chida. I don't know if it works in English..Himi, mymy namemame ismis chimidama.. sounds weird..hehe..

2. What would surprise people once they got to know you?
That I talked a lot and laugh too much for no reason. Sometimes I ask a lot of questions that has no answer to it. I still have no answer to why five fingers on foot do not have names..wait..I just googled it up..here's the answer..Big toe, Index toe, Middle toe, 4th Toe and Little Toe - aka "pinky toe" (via)..So now, what's the name of those in Bahasa?

3. What is your current obsession?
Blogging! playing games on Neopets and Chris Evans.


4. If you live in another era, which would it be and why?
 Can I choose to live in Captain America movie's era? I love those vintage dresses, magic shows, cars.. and boys with preppy hair..

5. What is your earliest memory?
I am reading a book with picture of ants.

7. What can't you say no to?
Anything that has prawn..I love prawns a lot! My mom's Udang Goreng Kunyit and Afiqah Hassan's Butter Prawn!

Washing dishes. I don't know. It made feel guilty for throwing out excess food.

Washing dishes :p ..hehe..no..maybe how the cars work, computers work..anything that involves technology..to stop me from imagining that there is little people inside computers do the works.

People, human, babies..I used to think that babies are made by eating too much rice. haha..and for that reason, I don't eat a lot when I was a child..afraid I will get baby..

Assamualaikum :) Selamat berpuasa! 

It has been 3 months of doing nothing at home and  its making me worry about future..a bit. Living without a job means no income and honestly I am still not used to it.
However, above facts from Marc and Angel Hack Life, makes me realize of what I do have.
